MCSAR’s Communication Trailer Fundraiser
MCSAR is in need of a communications trailer to replace our current, aging vehicle. In Search and Rescue, the Communications Trailer is the hub of support for a mission by providing the base of operations including mapping and planning computers, and critical radio communications setup for teams in the field. As technology has progressed, we will also benefit from the ability to set up Starlink Wi-Fi stations to effectively communicate with our field teams in locations without cellular service in which we frequently search.
Communications Trailer – total cost $40,500
The cost of $40,500 is to purchase the trailer and then outfit the interior with a variety of essential equipment including computers, radios, backup batteries, cabinets, specialized wiring, awnings, and workstations. This cost is for equipment only. All labor for the build-out will be donated.
